Artist Statement
I create abstract pieces in mixed media, digital visual art and experimental forms of media art. I am drawn to the idea of discovery, finding patterns and surprises in artworks and using techniques and materials in ways they were not intended to use. A common theme in my work is relationship, it may be relationship of shapes and colors or of abstracted bodies in different settings. Coming from a graphic design background, my compositions and use of textures are rooted in structural thinking rather than painterly approaches.
